Farewell Lunch & Auckland Zoo

Today was our last day to have an English lesson in Whangaparaoa College. We had a farewell party during lunch. We ate a few slices of pizzas and had a drink. We then got a certificate from the teacher. After the party, we went to the zoo.

At first, we wanted to see giraffes but we did not know how to read the map and we got the wrong way. We saw tigers but all of them were sleeping. Then we saw Tasmanian Devil which we thought they look like nice. After that, we noticed a dark cave; we walked into the cave with curiosity. However, we didn’t see anything in the cave as it was so dark that we were scared. In the end, we saw giraffes, zebras and lions with the help of our tour guide, Yoyo. However, there was not enough time for us to stay any longer.

After the zoo visit, we waited for our host dad, Anthony, to pick us up. As our host mum needed to work till 7p.m., Anthony took us to buy dinner. We had some chips, deep-fried fish, shrimps and cookies. We thought today was a wonderful day and we hope that tomorrow would be a fine day for horse riding.
